APC 1 Million Votes Group Vows To Deliver Uba/Jerry In Southern Kaduna
A group known as APC One Million Solidarity Votes Movement, Southern Kaduna Zone, has vowed to campaign vigorously for the re-election of Governor Uba Sani and Jerry Adams to win 2027 polls.
Team leader of the Movement in Southern Kaduna, Nathaniel Joseph Bagudu, said the region is better positioned to play a decisive role in the outcome of the 2027 elections, expressing confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would secure overwhelming support across the area.
Addressing press conference in Kaduna on Monday, Bagudu said the event was organised to appreciate Governor Uba Sani for nominating the Chairman of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS), Comrade Jerry Adams, as his running mate for the 2027 governorship election.
He described Adams’ emergence as a strategic decision that had generated widespread excitement across Southern Kaduna, arguing that the choice had significantly boosted the APC’s electoral prospects.
According to him, the nomination has “reduced about 60 per cent of the campaign work” for the party, as many residents have welcomed the decision and are already expressing their readiness to support the APC in the 2027 elections.
“Comrade Jerry Adams’ nomination has been widely accepted across Southern Kaduna. It is a strategic choice that has inspired confidence among our people. We believe the decision has already reduced about 60 per cent of the work ahead of us because many people have embraced the ticket,” he said.
Bagudu said the Office of the Deputy Governor offers a broader platform for public service than the chairmanship of KADIRS, adding that it presents greater opportunities to contribute to the development of Southern Kaduna, Kaduna State and Nigeria.
He noted that the transition would not affect the operations of KADIRS, stressing that the agency had been strengthened with competent personnel, institutional reforms and efficient systems capable of sustaining its performance.
Bagudu further disclosed that the movement had commenced an extensive grassroots mobilisation campaign aimed at delivering one million votes for the party in Southern Kaduna.
He said mobilisation teams had already visited Jaba, Zangon Kataf and Jema’a Local Government Areas to encourage eligible residents, particularly young people, to register for their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), adding that the exercise would be extended to other local government areas in the region.
Bagudu also commended Governor Uba Sani’s administration for what he described as inclusive governance and improvements in security, saying the achievements had strengthened public confidence in the government.

Adeleke Warns Tinubu: There Maybe Crisis If APC Rigs Me Out
Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has warned President Bola Tinubu not to allow rigging the August 15 governorship election in the State or risk political violence as witnessed in 1983.
The Governor, who was addressing party supporters at Orita-Sabo in Olorunda local government area of Osun State on Monday, also said the President must wake up to his responsibility of protecting the people from police harassment.
According to him, the President is watching without concern, the political crisis in Osun being perpetrated by his party chieftains despite the fact that Accord has endorsed him as the 2027 Presidential candidate.
“Mr President, I want you to take note of my words, I m the Chief Security officer of Osun, you are a Yoruba man and Osun is Yorubaland, yet, your party chieftains are perpetrating political violence while you look the other way.
“Mr President, all we demand for is a free and fair election, if anybody try to do otherwise, the political crisis of 1983, when some people tried to rig Michael Ajasin in Ondo State out of power, may repeat itself again.
“Mr President call your people to order, call police chiefs to order, I am the governor here not any other person. Accord has already endorsed you as it candidate, why are suffering again”

2027: APC North-West To Mobilise 7 States For Tinubu’s Re-election
The All Progressives Congress (APC) North-West Zone, on Thursday, said it concluded plans to embark on tour of the seven states in the region as part of efforts to mobilize support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and position the party for victory in the 2027 general elections.
The party said the decision was reached at a meeting of its zonal leadership held in Kaduna, where members deliberated on strategies to retain the APC’s dominance across the North-West and deliver what it described as the highest number of votes for President Tinubu in 2027.
The meeting took place at the party’s zonal headquarters in Kaduna, and was chaired by the APC North-West Zonal Secretary, Hon. Isah Sadiq Achida, in the absence of the National Vice Chairman of the zone, Hon. Garba Mohammed Datti, who was said to be away on an important assignment.
In a statement issued by the APC North-West Zonal Publicity Secretary, Malam Musa Mailafiya Mada, said the meeting focused on preparations for the 2027 polls and reviewed the political landscape across the region.
The party noted that the North-West remains a strategic political bloc for the APC, having delivered substantial votes to President Tinubu in the 2023 presidential election, and expressed confidence that it would surpass that performance in 2027.
It also resolved to embark on a tour of the seven states in the zone to engage stakeholders and deliberate on practical measures needed to strengthen the party’s structures and achieve its electoral objectives.
The APC described the North-West’s political configuration as historic, noting that it is the first time since the creation of states in Nigeria that all seven states in the geopolitical zone are under the control of a single political party.
The zonal leadership expressed profound appreciation to Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, for donating a utility vehicle to the party, describing the gesture as a demonstration of his commitment to strengthening the APC’s operations in the region.
It further acknowledged the unwavering support of all APC governors in the North-West, saying their contributions have remained the lifeline of the party’s zonal headquarters and have enabled it to function effectively.
The party also commended prominent APC leaders from the North-West, including Deputy Senate President Barau I. Jibrin, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, ministers and other political office holders appointed by President Tinubu, for their continued support for the administration and the party.
The statement urged them to sustain the momentum and extend greater support to the APC as preparations for the 2027 general elections gather pace.

2027: Gov. Uba Sani Announces Jerry Adams As Running Mate
Kaduna State governor, Uba Sani, has announced the executive chairman Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS), Jerry Adams, as his running mate ahead of 2027 polls.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Governor Uba Sani, described Adams an accomplished public servant, outstanding tax administrator and an institution builder whose leadership has transformed the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service into one of Nigeria’s most respected revenue agencies.
Governor Sani said for more than three years, his administration has worked tirelessly to heal old wounds and restore confidence in government.
He stated that Adams has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to peace, reconciliation and inclusive governance, believing, “as I do, that Kaduna’s diversity must always unite us rather than divide us”
Governor Uba Sani’s Full Statement:
“Today, we take another decisive step in our collective journey towards building a more united, peaceful and inclusive Kaduna State.
After wide consultations, deep reflection and earnest prayers, I am delighted to announce the nomination of Mr. Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, CNA, as my running mate in the 2027 Governorship Election”
The governor added, “This decision is far greater than the selection of a deputy governorship candidate. It is a reaffirmation of the values that have guided our administration since I took the oath of office on 29 May 2023; the values of inclusion, justice, fairness, equity and the unwavering conviction that every citizen of Kaduna State deserves a genuine sense of belonging.
“Kaduna is a remarkable state, blessed with extraordinary diversity of faiths, ethnicities and cultures. That diversity is not a burden; it is our greatest strength. Our history has taught us difficult lessons about the heavy cost of division, mistrust and exclusion. Yet it has also shown us that when we choose dialogue over discord, inclusion over alienation, and justice over prejudice, our people achieve extraordinary things together”
The governor noted that, “For more than three years, our administration has worked tirelessly to heal old wounds and restore confidence in government. We have deliberately ensured that the dividends of democracy reach every part of our State. Across all 23 Local Government Areas, investments in roads, schools, hospitals, water supply, agriculture, rural development and social protection have been guided by one simple principle: no community should be left behind and no citizen should feel excluded.
“Together with our traditional rulers, religious leaders, community organisations, women and youth groups, we have strengthened the foundations of peace through dialogue, mutual respect and shared development. As security has improved, farmers have returned to their lands, businesses have expanded, investments have grown and hope has steadily replaced fear in many communities. Our experience has affirmed a simple truth: lasting peace is built not only by security measures but by fairness, inclusion and equal opportunity.
Sani added, “It is in furtherance of this vision that I have chosen Mr. Jerry Adams to join me on this journey”
“Jerry Adams is an accomplished public servant, an outstanding tax administrator and an institution builder whose leadership has transformed the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service into one of Nigeria’s most respected revenue agencies. Through innovation, transparency and professionalism, he has helped strengthen our fiscal capacity, enabling government to invest even more in the education of our children, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture and other critical sectors that improve the lives of our people.
“Beyond his impressive professional accomplishments, Jerry Adams is a man of integrity, humility and quiet strength. He has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to peace, reconciliation and inclusive governance, believing, as I do, that Kaduna’s diversity must always unite us rather than divide us. His emergence reflects our continuing determination to build a Kaduna where merit, competence and character remain the true qualifications for leadership.
“As we look towards 2027, I invite every son and daughter of Kaduna State to see this moment not through the narrow prism of religion, ethnicity or geography, but through the broader vision of the Kaduna we are building together; a Kaduna where every child can dream without fear, every community can flourish, every faith is respected and every citizen has an equal stake in our common future”
“The work of building a peaceful, prosperous and inclusive Kaduna is not yet complete, but together we have laid a solid foundation. Together, we shall continue to strengthen that foundation and hand over to future generations a State that is more united, more secure, more just and more prosperous than we inherited” governor Sani said.
